AAMCO worked on my 93 Chevy, they rebuilt the tranny, the work was in a timely manner. I am 100% happy with the outcome. The truck now shifts smooth now. If you have a problem with your transmission I would let this AAMCO do the repair. I'm having them work on my 93 Jaquar now and I'm sure it will be right as the whole staff is very good at their job.
Normally, I'm not a "write a review" kind of a person. But, I do at times read them - always good to do your research I guess. With that said, I feel compelled to share an amazing experience at AAMCO Stuart Florida - it's a bit of a saga! I towed my boat with my Chevy Suburban from New Hampshire to Marathon Florida for Christmas vacation. On the way back from the Keys, my transmission died on us, and we limped back to Stuart at 35 mph on I 95 - not fun! We were able to find a hotel room in Stuart, and we were luckily surrounded by transmission repair shops - including a Chevy dealer next door. The ONLY shop willing to get us in during the holiday time period and at the very least assess the issue was AAMCO Stuart. Curtiss met us at the door, assessed the car, and we had an action plan within two hours - which allowed us to now figure out how to get home! With minimal resources, we needed to rent a car and drive to Savanah where my wives parents lived - we could stay for free, and fly back to NH from there. As we started looking at rental car companies, our Curtiss at Stuart AAMCO hooked us up with his friend at Enterprise - another GREAT company, and he gave us a one way rental to Savanah for 55$ Yup! After we flew back to NH, the car was repaired and a new transmission was installed at precisely to the agreed estimate. The kicker! Curtiss agreed to kept the car safe on site until we were able to fly back and pick it up. We did just that, and the car not only runs perfectly, but we have the backing of a National warranty through the dealer network at AAMCO. Finally, price, quality and above and beyond customer service (Thank you Curtiss) is back in America!! Truthfully and gratefully, David
These guys are the best. What I thought was that my transmission was shot. I had it at another place for over 2 weeks and they kept telling me they were trying to find a transmission. I felt they were less than honest in many of their answers, so I called AAMCO and they were so receptive. I had it towed there on Friday evening. Saturday, I received a call, and turns out it wasn't the transmission. Was two axles and was going to cost a lot less. They had it done by Monday night and it runs perfect. Highly recommend--they do a lot more than trannies. They have a general mechanic there also.

After many issues with multiple shops I have to say it was a relief and a pleasure working with Curtis and Wayne. Firstly they ask you what is going on with your vehicle and then they actually listen to what you have to say. I didn't feel rushed with these guys at all. They were not about just slinging parts, they just did the work that needed to be done. I'm big on communication and these guys get an A+. I have contacted Curtis since the repairs about non-related issues and he still responds quickly and is enthusiastic to help in any way he can. I would 100% use these guys again.
I was in a bind and in a rush to get my car back in time to see my daughter for thanksgiving. These guys not only put a rush on getting the parts but Curtiss helped me to secure financing and have it in time for our trip. These guys are awesome 👏
